It is the passenger commercial airport that is closest to Washington D.C. It is a focal city for US Airways and shuttle services are available almost hourly for both US Airways and Delta Airlines. The airport features three large terminals.
Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport
Located in Newport News and operated under the supervision of the Peninsula Airport Commission, the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport serves the Hampton Roads metropolitan region along with the Norfolk International Airport. The primary airline operator at New News/Williamsburg International Airport are Frontier Airlines, US Airways, AirTran Airways and Delta Air Lines.
Roanoke Regional Airport
Located in Roanoke, Roanoke Regional Airport may not be the largest airline operator in the state, but it is a very important Virginia airport. Operated under the supervision of the Roanoke Regional Airport Commission, the airport offers a variety of services and facilities, including snack bars, restaurants, vending machines, ATMs, escalators and elevators, change machines, TTY and TDD phones for individuals with disabilities and shoeshine shops.
